Tommy Wayne Long

TOMMY WAYNE LONG, age 62, of Hurdle Mills, NC passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Long was born October 27, 1961 in Person County, NC, son of the late Thomas Wayne Long & Lillie Mae Pruitt Montague who survives and was husband of 32 years to April Susanne Pritchard Long who also survives.  He was formerly employed with Tultex Mills and was of the Baptist faith. 

Tommy was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid NC State fan.

Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are a brother, Rick Long, half-sister, Priscilla Long, both of Roxboro, NC, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his father, Tommy is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alfred & Sarah Long, maternal grandparents, Joe & Sarah Pruitt, and his pet dogs, JoJo & RoRo.

Per Tommy’s wishes, no services are planned.
