Billy James Brooks

BILLY JAMES BROOKS, age 80, of Roxboro, NC, died Sunday morning, May 6, 2018 at Person Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Brooks was born July 16, 1937 in Person County, NC son of the late Frazier Oliver & Mildred Katherine Groves Brooks.  He was an insurance salesman for much of his life, retired from O’Neil’s Quick Stop and was a member of Theresa Baptist Church. 

Surviving are a daughter, Vickie Brooks Hunt & husband, Norman of Woodstock, GA, two brothers, Clarence Brooks of Oxford, NC, Charles Brooks & wife, Wilma of Roxboro, NC, grandson, Gabriel Hunt & wife, Allyson.

In addition to his parents Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Brooks, Donald Brooks, and a sister, Yvonne Nelson.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel by the Rev. Norman Hunt and the Rev. Herbert Brown.
