Charles Edward Albright, Sr.

CHARLES EDWARD ALBRIGHT, SR. age 69, of 191 Timberlake Drive, Timberlake, NC died Sunday afternoon, June 17, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Durham, NC.

Mr. Albright was born March 4, 1949 in Shenandoah County, VA son of the late Wendell Virgil & Stella Mae Bly Albright and was husband of 50 years to Diane DeMent Albright who survives.  He was retired from Comfort Engineering after 42 years of service, enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, the mountains, riding the parkway and was a veteran of the US Marines where he served in Vietnam.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Charles E. Albright & wife, Donna Kay, Chris M. Albright & fiancée, April Duckworth, Carolyn A. Oakes & husband Ron all of Roxboro, NC, seven grandchildren, Michaela Albright, Elizabeth Albright, Amanda Albright, Mary Grace Albright, C.J. Albright, Casey Oakes, Kaley Oakes, brother, Harry Albright & wife, Lynn of Mebane, NC and two sisters.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Albright is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Clevie Brandon officiating.   Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham, NC.  The family will receive friends and guests Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6:30 till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home.           

Pallbearers will be Doug Bent, Donnie “Popeye” Bowes, Wolfman Campbell, Jim Dearing, Devin OBrien, and Donnie Rudder.
