Janice Marie (Harris) Reynolds

JANICE MARIE HARRIS REYNOLDS, age 83, of 1413 Mackfieldson Road, Roxboro, NC died Thursday night, January 9, 2020 at the Guilford House in Greensboro, NC.

Mrs. Reynolds was born September 22, 1936 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Zeb and Beulah Hargis Harris and was wife of Max Edward Reynolds who survives.  Prior to her retirement she worked in the finance department for Leggett’s Department Store and Broyhill Furniture Company and was a member of Oxford Memorial Baptist Church in Taylorsville, NC. Mrs. Reynolds enjoyed horses, traveling, sewing, tending her flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Janet R. Clayton (Larry Terrell), three grandchildren, Jessica Dixon, James Clint Dixon, Jr. & wife, Jamie, April Pauline Guerrero, five great grandchildren, Jaden Blackard, Jacie Gravitt, Ariel Dixon, Gabriella Dixon, and Sarai Rudder.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reynolds is preceded in death by a son, Joseph Michael Rudder, Sr., step-daughter, Lura Reynolds Cormier, grandson, Joseph Michael Rudder, Jr., two sisters, Pauline Riggs, and Edna Tyson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2020 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Mike Whitt officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Life Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the funeral home and other times at the home.  

Pallbearers will be Derek Cifers, Mike Hawkins, Mike D. Shotwell, Mike S. Shotwell, Elbert Terrell, Jr., and Larry Terrell, Jr.  Honorary pallbearer will be Jaden Blackard.
