Kenneth Dale Crow, Sr.

August 21, 1927 ~ June 18, 2019 (age 91)

KENNETH DALE CROW, SR. age 91, of 1200 Gentry Dunkley Road, Roxboro, NC died Tuesday morning, June 18, 2019 at the VA Medical Center.

 

Mr. Crow was born August 21, 1927 in Lundale, WV, son of the late John Randall Crow & Ethel Clay Crow Spurlock and was husband of 64 years to Grace Carol Gentry Crow who survives.  He started his career as a carpenter with George W. Kane, was a Golden Member of Allensville United Methodist Church, was a Scout Master, a member of American Legion Post 138, and was a veteran of the US Navy where he served during WWII.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and model trains.

 

Surviving in addition to his wife are, two children, Carol C. White & husband, Gary, Kenneth Dale Crow, Jr. & wife, Robin all of Roxboro, NC, three granddaughters, Janet W. Heape (Jordan), Allison White all of Durham, NC, Gracen Dale Crow of Roxboro, NC, great granddaughter, Carolina Heape, two sisters-in-law, Bertha Crews (Allen), Helen G. Gentry, brother-in-law, William Harris, niece, Terry Whipkey (Bruce), nephew, Michael Harris (Cathy) all of Glen Easton, WV, and a host of other nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Crow is preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Harris, and a nephew, Donald Harris.

 

A celebration of life will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 in the Allenville United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Lindsey Collins officiating.   The family will receive friends and guests from 6:30 till 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services and other times at the home.
