Larry Winford Seate

LARRY WINFORD SEATE age 70, of 11595 Virgilina Road, Roxboro, NC died Monday afternoon, December 17, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Seate was born June 21, 1948 in Person County, NC son of the late Arthur & Florence Ester Tuck Seate and was husband of 38 years to Mary Josephine Conner Seate who survives.  He was retired from ABB Inc. after 43 years of service and was a member of High View Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Melissa Jo Seate and fiance, Nekevin Cates, son, Kelly Martin Seate and wife, Leslie, three grandchildren, Arthur James Davis, Kenyon Dwayne Cates, Holly Elizabeth Seate, three step grandchildren, Nichols Wilkins, Christian Haley Davis, Heidi Davis, stepson, Christopher Allen Davis, and brother, Al Seate, all of Roxboro.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to his nurse, Crystal Martin.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Seate is preceded in death by his grandparents, Al and Mary Seate and Henry and Mannie Tuck.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018 at High View Baptist Church with the Rev. Avery Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in the Virgilina Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at High View Baptist Church, and at other times at the home.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Burchett, Dalton Morris, Lacy Morris, C.H. Puryear, Randall Sanford, and Tony Tuck. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Coghill and Scotty Oakley.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to the High View Baptist Church General Fund, 144 High View Church Road, Roxboro, NC 27574.
