Thomas "Butch" William Bowman, Jr.

THOMAS WILLIAM “BUTCH” BOWMAN, JR., age 69, of 1700 Forest Street, Roxboro, NC died Sunday morning, November 4, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Bowman was born April 12, 1949 in Person County, NC son of the late Thomas William Bowman, Sr. & Janet Elizabeth Hatcher Clayton and was husband of the late Peggy Adams Bowman.  He had previously worked for Collins & Aikman Corp. but most recently was co-owner of a used car lot. 

Surviving are three children, Tommy William Bowman of Concord, GA, Eddy Thomas Satterfield, Jr. & wife, Miriam of Shelby, NC, Timothy William Bowman of Roxboro, NC, brother, Timothy Eugene Clayton of Roxboro, NC, companion of 18 years, Karen Kay Lacks of the home, four grandchildren, David Daniel Bowman, Pamela Marie Bowman, Amanda Marie Bowman, Foy Timothy Satterfield, three great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Bowman is preceded in death by a son, Todd William Bowman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Billy Edwards officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests from 6:30 till 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
