Betty Lynn (Jones) Tarver

BETTY LYNN JONES TARVER, age 73, of 306 Lawrence Street, Roxboro, NC died Friday afternoon at her home with her husband, children and their spouses by her side.

Mrs. Tarver was born June 27, 1947 in Randolph County, NC, daughter of the late Erastus David & Bessie Carlton Jones Moody and was wife of 39 years to Chester Lee “Ches” Tarver who survives.  She was retired from North American Aerodynamics, and was of the Baptist faith.  Betty Lynn enjoyed going to antique shops, collecting Blue Willow china, and spending time with her family.  She had a very strong bond with her sisters. 

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Christopher Thomas Dunevant & wife, Amanda of Roxboro, NC, Stacey Dunevant Chandler & husband, Davy of Lillington, NC, six grandchildren, Clint Chandler, Rickey Chandler, Hayden Chandler, Corby Dunevant & wife, Cheyenne, Zachary Womack, Tyler Womack, two great grandchildren, Adeline Dunevant, Oliver Dunevant, two sisters, Dorothy J. Thomas & husband, Larry, Peggy J. Wesley & husband, Butch all of Roxboro, NC, brother, David Jones & wife, Jeanette of South Boston, VA, two step-children, Karolee Wolfe & husband, Vic, Darlene Chambers & husband, Danny all of Texas, four step-grandchildren, over fifty first cousins, and five double first cousins, Diane J. Seate, Cathy J. Hamlet, Carl Jones, Danny Carlton, and Stevie Carlton.

Honoring the wishes of Betty Lynn, no services will be planned.
