Deborah (Palmer) Ladd

DEBORAH PALMER LADD age 59, of 320 Johnny Palmer Road, Roxboro, NC died Thursday afternoon, May 27, 2021 at Duke Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Ladd was born November 25, 1961 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Johnny Lowraine & Beatrice Nunn Palmer and was wife of 22 years to the late Michael Wayne Ladd.  She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.  Deborah enjoyed flower gardening, listening to the birds, going to the beach and mountains, collecting porcelain dolls and her famous quarter collection, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are three children, Jason W. Ladd & wife, Ashley of Pensacola, FL, Samantha L. Johnson of Amherst, VA, Rosanne L. Bowes & husband, C.J. of Roxboro, NC, five grandchildren, Destiny Ladd, Michael Bowes, April Bowes, Autumn Ladd, Chance Alexander, two sisters, Pam Slaughter & husband, Greg, and Linda Dickens & husband, Bobby.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ladd is preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Edward Palmer, and two sisters, Sheila Ann Hazel, and Nancy Jane Cates.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2021 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Dr. M. David Chambers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the funeral home and other times at the home.    

Pallbearers will be Jordan Broughton, Kris Cates, Robert Dickens, Dillion Grogan, Jack Hazel, Chris Palmer, and Travis Slaughter.
