Doyle Blake Whitt, Sr.

DOYLE BLAKE WHITT, SR. age 70, of 175 DB Whitt Road, Semora, NC died Friday afternoon, August 12, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Whitt was born January 23, 1952 in Halifax County, VA, son of the late William Logan Whitt & Mary Frances “Wray” Turner Weaver and husband, William who survives and was husband of 51 years to Elvira Williams Whitt who also survives.  He was a former employee of Collins & Aikman Corp., was a member of more than 30 years of the Ceffo Volunteer Fire Department where he served as Chief, was a veteran of the NC National Guard, and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are three children, Andera Latrelle Radcliffe, Misty Whitt Day, Doyle Blake Whitt, Jr. & wife, Amanda all of Semora, NC, five grandchildren, Logan & Brooke Radcliffe, Nicholas & Daniel Pulliam, Eastyn Blake Whitt, two sisters, Charlene Whitt of Semora, NC Jennifer R. Weaver of Roxboro, NC, two brothers, Robbie Wallace & wife, Angela, and Kelly Wallace all of Roxboro, NC.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Theresa Baptist Church with the Rev. Herbert Brown and the Rev. Ben Francis officiating.  Interment will follow in the DB Whitt Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 12:30 till 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.

Pallbearers will be members of the Ceffo Volunteer Fire Department.
