Flora Isabelle (Elliott) Tingen

FLORA ISABELLE ELLIOTT TINGEN, age 90, of 1290 Pixley Pritchard Road, Timberlake, NC died Tuesday night, January 18, 2022 at Roxboro Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Tingen was born September 23, 1931 in Granville County, NC, daughter of the late James William & Mary Moss Elliott and was wife of the late Archie Bradsher Tingen. She was retired from John Umstead Hospital after more than 30 years of service and also worked with Person County Counsel on Aging.

Mrs. Tingen enjoyed gardening, farming, doing yard work, and just working to stay busy.

Surviving are a son, Ricky Tingen & wife, Cathy, grandson, Brandon Tingen & wife, Shannon, two great grandsons, Shane Tingen, Jake Tingen, great-great granddaughter, Brynlee Tingen, two brothers, Walter Elliott, and Clyde Elliott & wife, Lorene. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Tingen is preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Wilkins, three brothers, Ray Elliott, John Elliott, and Ed Elliott.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 24, 2022 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Mike Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Keith Elliott, Brandon Tingen, Chris Tingen, Jake Tingen, Linwood Tingen, and Shane Tingen.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to Geneva Presbyterian Church, 4620 Culbreth Road, Oxford, NC 27565.
