Helene Marie (Hoyh) Boles

HELENE MARIE BOLES, age 84, of Durham, NC died Saturday evening, July 18, 2020 at Roxboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Boles was born February 22, 1936 in Nürtingen, Germany, daughter of the late Marie Hoyh and wife to the late Delbert Boles. She previously worked as a seamstress, in the retail business and retired from Costco, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Durham, NC.

Surviving are three children, son, Ronald Schoenfeld and wife, Janet of Bahama, NC,  daughter, Heidi Martins and husband, Willem of Pinehurst, NC, son, Timothy Schoenfeld and  Emily of Edwardsburg, MI., nine grandchildren: Zachary Schoenfeld (Abby), Jordan Fortner, Stephen Schoenfeld, Jennifer Schoenfeld, Holly Adams, Robert Adams (Stephanie), Jeffrey Adams (Britany), Kesley Schoenfeld, Timothy Schoenfeld (Caitlin) and eight great-grandchildren, Gunnar Schoenfeld, Marianna Schoenfeld, Olivia Adams, Nicholas Adams, Zoe Adams, Grayson Adams, Sidney Schoenfeld, and Seeley Schoenfeld.

In addition to her mother and husband, Mrs. Boles is preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Mathuni, and a brother, Werner Hoyh.

A celebration of life will be conducted on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 3:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3902 Berini Drive, Durham, NC 27705 with Bishop Ken Rogerson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 2:00 pm.
