JAMES RONNIE TUCK age 81, of 238 Doc Bass Road, Timberlake, NC died Tuesday afternoon, August 31, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Tuck was born October 15, 1939 in Person County, NC, son of the late James Henry & Willie Lee Wilkerson Tuck and was husband of 33 years to Melva Faye Hodgson Tuck who survives. He was retired from Tultex and was a member of Allensville United Methodist Church.
Mr. Tuck enjoyed Nascar, camping, fishing, hunting, building things, dogs and cats, the simple things in life and chocolate pie.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Lorraine Sheets & husband, Charles, Sandra Stone, Lisa Bowes & husband, Ralph, all of Roxboro, NC, Dwayne Pleasant of Danville, VA, Shawn Pleasant & wife, Laura of Reidsville, NC, eight grandchildren, Kenny Stone, Melissa Day (Wayne), Chris Bowes, Stephanie Bowes (Waylon), Matthew Bowes (Shannon), Antonio Pleasant, Shane Pleasant (J-Mari), Mason Pleasant, eleven great grandchildren, brother, Tony Tuck & wife, Linda of Oxford, NC, and sister, Magdalene Trickey of Richmond, VA.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Tuck is preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Knight, Pauline Dunn, and Lanelle Scott.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Denny Freeman and the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Allensville United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Bliss, Chris Bowes, Matthew Bowes, Dempsy Dunn, Shane Pleasant and Kenny Stone. Honorary pallbearer will be Waylon Wilson.
