Jeanette (Bowling) Pergerson

JEANETTE BOWLING PERGERSON, age 82, of 178 Medford Oakley Road, Rougemont, NC died Friday afternoon, January 15, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Pergerson was born June 6, 1938 in Person County, NC, daughter of the Floyd Henderson Bowling & Maggie Ola Taylor Bowling and was wife of 52 years to the late Fred Ervin Pergerson.  She retired after working as a pharmacy assistant and was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church.  Jeanette enjoyed doing yard work, and housekeeping. 

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Bonita “Sherry” Gill & husband, Connie Lee of Rougemont, NC, two grandchildren, Erica Leanne Sumner & husband, Matthew of Semora, NC, Brianna Grace Pergerson of Rougemont, NC, two great grandchildren, Leah Sumner, Madison Sumner, three sisters, Carolyn Luxton, Janie Williams both of Rougemont, NC, Barbara Blalock of Roxboro, NC, brother, Ronnie Bowling & wife, Donna of Rougemont, NC, and daughter-in-law, Jamie Mooney Pergerson. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Pergerson is preceded in death by two sons, Dale Ervin Pergerson, Chad Eric Pergerson, sister, Alene Capps, two brothers, Joe Thomas Bowling, and George Wesley Bowling. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Chambers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bowling Family Cemetery.  Those wishing to pay their respects may do so between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, at Strickland and Jones Funeral Services.  

 Pallbearers will be Tim Bowling, Kenneth Gill, Mark Gill, Derek Luxton, Lonnie Luxton, Jr., and Dennis Pergerson.  

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Building Fund, 1655 Mt. Harmony Church Road, Rougemont, NC 27572.
