John Michael Turner

JOHN MICHAEL TURNER, age 73, of 302 Lawrence Street, Roxboro, NC died Saturday morning, June 11, 2022 at Duke University Hospital.

Mr. Turner was born April 23, 1949 in Person County, NC, son of the late John Russell “Skinner” & Lorene Mae Dixon Turner and was husband of 52 years to Patsy Rose Davis Turner who survives. He was retired from Pepsi Cola after 49 years of service and was a member of Longhurst United Methodist Church.

Mike enjoyed mowing the grass, working his garden each year, visiting with folks, taking joy rides, and spending time with his family. 

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Tammy T. Carver & husband, Rocky, Mark Turner, all of Roxboro, NC two grandchildren, Noah Carver, Grey Carver, sister, Susan T. Schaeffer & husband, Don of Wake Forest, NC, niece, Kynlon Schaeffer, and nephew, Brooks Schaeffer.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2022 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Norma Roberts officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
