Margaret Ann (Gregory) Marshall

MARGARET ANN GREGORY MARSHALL age 78, of 54 Flat River Church Road, Roxboro, NC passed away Monday afternoon, May 29, 2023 at the Hock Family Pavilion.

Mrs. Marshall was born July 19, 1944 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late Melvin Thomas Gregory & Margaret Louise Woodall Gregory.  She was retired from Maple Heights Rest Home, and was a member of Rock Grove Baptist Church.

She enjoyed flowers, taking trips, her church and teaching Sunday School, going to the beach, being around children, and spending time with her family.   

Surviving are three children, Beverly Day & husband, Keith, Greg Slaughter & wife, Pam, and John Hargis all of Roxboro, NC, three grandchildren, Travis Slaughter & wife, Hannah, Landon Day & wife Amy, Lyndsey Rimmer & husband, Jon, six great grandchildren, Winston Slaughter, Joey Slaughter, Bryant Day, Vada Slaughter, Emma Day and David Rimmer. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marshall is preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret “Dawn” Hargis, brother, Bing Gregory, and sister, Betsy Carr. 

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Hal Dickerson officiating. The family will receive friends and guests immediately following the service and other times at the home.   A private interment will be in the Person Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
