Martha Elizabeth Carver

MARTHA ELIZABETH CARVER age 97, of 112 Paul Tuck Farm Road, Roxboro, NC died Monday afternoon, March 6, 2023 at her home.

Ms. Carver was born August 29,1925 in Person County, NC daughter of the late Arthur Matheo & Eula Fitts Carver.  She was retired from Collins & Aikman Corp. where she was a creeler.

After the death of her mother, she moved to her nephew Paul Tuck’s farm where Paul’s family built her a log cabin from reclaimed barn logs.  Martha loved her pets and took great pride in her garden and flowers which she had to give up about two years ago.  She loved her country, politics, the Tar Heels, and was an avid Trump supporter.  She was an independent woman who was very stubborn and always had to have the last word.

Surviving are her favorite nephew, Harold Long and a host of other nieces & nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Ms. Carver is preceded in death by her siblings, Clifton Carver, Carlton Carver, Arthur Carver, Nat Carver, Gerald Carver, George Carver, Oakley Carver, Doxie Tuck, and Geneva Long.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in the Theresa Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating
