Pamela "Pam" Singleton Obituary

Pamela "Pam" Kay (Rouse) Singleton, 74, of Three Rivers, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, in Roxboro, North Carolina. Born on December 11, 1951 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of Betty Lou (Whitney) and James Wiley Rouse.

Pam lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family and friends. She found joy in music, especially bluegrass, which held a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed coloring, watching her favorite programs, and sharing heartfelt conversations with loved ones over the phone.

Family was central to Pam’s life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, James “Jim” Singleton, with whom she built a lifetime of treasured memories. As well as her parents, Betty and James Rouse.

Pam is survived by her sister Janice McCallie; her son Joseph (Kelly) Singleton; her daughter Jackie Steele; eight grandchildren—Tori, Samantha, Tyler, Mackenzie, Rilley, Madison, Abey, and Zoe; and five great-grandchildren—Paxton, Oakland, Luna, Amelia, and Blake. She will also be deeply missed by many dear friends.

Pam was the keeper of family stories and traditions. She loved scary movies, playing card games, and gathering around the dining room table for lively conversations. She cherished the flowers Jim would cut for her from their yard and enjoyed evenings by the fire as friends and family played and sang music. Known for her vibrant purple hair later in life, Pam’s favorite color reflected her spirited personality.

Pam’s legacy of love and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
