Reginald Melvin Strange

REGINALD MELVIN STRANGE, age 69, of 1246 Chub Lake Loop Road, Roxboro, NC died Thursday morning, May 28, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Strange was born September 12, 1950 in Person County, NC, son of the late Melvin Heard Strange & Margaret Louise Carswell Oakley and was husband of nearly 45 years to Margie Ogle Strange who survives. He was retired as a self-employed small engine mechanic and previously worked at RPC Corp., Bromma, The Courier Times, and was a member of Theresa Baptist Church and attended North Roxboro Baptist Church.  

Reginald enjoyed working on lawn mowers and along with his wife was a member of the Virginia-Carolina Model A Car Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Michelle Strange of Roxboro, NC.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Ben Durand and Phil Bentley officiating.  Interment will follow in the Theresa Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 11:30 a.m. till 12:45 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Due to the Executive Order regarding COVID-19, attendance for the visitation will be limited to 50 people.

Pallbearers will be Mark Blalock, Rodney Carswell, Darnell Carver, L.H. Duncan, Ken Norman, and Ricky Ogle.  Honorary pallbearers will be David Ogle and Sandy Smith.
