"Rob" Robert George McLane, Jr.

ROBERT GEORGE “ROB” McLANE, JR. age 47, of 169 Calip Long Lane, Roxboro, NC died Saturday morning, December 24, 2022 at Duke Regional Hospital.

Mr. McLane was born February 25, 1975 in Baltimore County, MD, son of the late Robert George McLane, Sr. & Helen Freida Cross McLane and was husband of 24 years to Christina Ann Jackson McLane who survives.  Prior to becoming disabled he worked as a diesel mechanic.

Rob enjoyed doing mechanic work and helping his sons work on their cars, coaching his sons, helping others, target shooting, his pet fish and dogs, spending time with his family, and was known to be humorous.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Matthew Robert McLane, Kyle Andrew McLane, Connor James McLane all of Roxboro, NC, granddaughter, Aubriella Grace McLane, siblings, Lois Tiffany & husband, Eamon, Terry Jasek & husband, Walter, Kelly Rau & husband, Patrick, Dawn Koerner, Anthony McLane & wife, Christina, Richard Uebel, mother-in-law, Pam Lewis, nieces and nephews, Luke and Melissa Rau, Jason and Dylan McLane, Walter, Mitchell, and Jessica Jasek, Aidan, Colin, and Claire Tiffany, Sandra Uebel, Carl and Daniel Koerner, and Sarah Uebel.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Anthony McLane officiating.  The family will receive friends and guests from 2:00 till 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
